About The Speaker(s)
Sierra Glaser, PT, DPT currently serves as President for the Kansas chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and has been a member of the APTA and Kansas chapter for 5 years. Graduating from the University of Kansas Medical Center's (KUMC) DPT program in 2021, she worked in acute care and inpatient rehab for 2 years. She then transitioned to become adjunct faculty at KUMC for about a year. While at KUMC, she was a clinical instructor at JaySTART - a pro bono teaching clinic, and it was through her experience at JaySTART that she discovered a passion for caring for the whole person. Beginning in 2023, she began working in a non-profit faith-based community setting in a non-clinical role equipping young adults to engage in their communities. Throughout all of her different roles and career path exploration, her involvement in the APTA has been consistent. In 2021, she was the Centennial Scholar for APTA KS and represented Kansas amongst a total of 100 scholars across the U.S. Additionally, she served one term as Secretary and two terms as delegate for APTA Kansas. Within her roles in the APTA, she has sought to increase member engagement of both students and early professionals, creating a "Scholars Program" for students and leading a team that collaborates on a grant to improve member value.
